Freisa (Latin for strawberry) is an Italian grape variety from Piemonte, first documented in the middle ages. The grapes for this delectable Rosé are grown in Havelock North by the Tuki Tuki river. Vibrantly pink, zingy and funky with a big hello of lime and fresh strawberries followed by aromas of rose petals, flavours of watermelon and a hint of banana - like licking a lollypop. Refreshingly crisp, slightly off dry. A perfect match for many foods from salads, fusion to tapas.
Optimum drinking time is 2021 to 2023 to keep a maximum of fresh aromas. Optimum serving temperature is chilled to 6-10°C.
